Thank you for your interest in serving soccer as a referee, There are two types of Entry level clinic available to you. Here is a description of each:
(Grade 8 or Grade 9 refer to referee certification levels. They do not refer to grades in school)
Grade 9 Entry Level (G9) - This is a nine hour clinic designed for participants who are age 15 or younger. The course is a high level overview of the Laws of the Game. Testing for understanding is conducted in the clinic. Participants must receive a passing score of at least 38 on a 50 question test.
Based on age, experience and understanding of the Laws of the Game, successful completion of the course entitles participants to officiate soccer matches with the following limitations:
Grade 8 Entry Level (G8D1 + G8D2) - This is a sixteen hour clinic designed for participants who are age 16 or older, The course is an in depth study of the Laws of the Game. Testing for understanding is conducted in the clinic. Participants must attend both sessions (G8D1 and G8D2). They must also receive a passing score of at least 75 on a 100 question test.
(Currently an issue exists that prevents signing up for more than one clinic. The issue is being addressed. In the meantime; sign up for the G8D1 and your name will be manually added to the roster for the corresponding G8D2 clinic)
Based on age, experience and understanding of the Laws of the Game, successful completion of the course entitles participants to officiate soccer matches with the following limitations:
Registration for Entry level clinics is turned off on the Thursday morning prior to the clinic for administrative reasons. Late registration and walk ups will not be accepted.
