New and Recertification Referee Clinics for 2007-2008:

New Referees
We encourage anyone signing up for an entry level Grade 8 or Grade 9 referee course to study the Laws of the Game book prior to attending a clinic.  This preparation will assist in obtaining the minimum score required on the referee certification test. Grade 9 referees need a score of 38 to pass their test.  Anyone not obtaining that score will need to retake the test again at another location after a two week waiting period. Grade 8 referees need a score of 75 to pass their test.  Anyone not obtaining that score will be offered two options.  Retake the test af another location after a two week waiting period or certify as a Grade 9 referee for 2008.
 
Recertifying referees
All returning referees are encourage to study the Laws of the Game, Procedures and Advice to Referees manuals prior to attending a clinic. Any returning referee that does not obtain the passing score for their grade must retake the test at another location after a two week waiting period.  Referees attending a clinic for experience of more than three years or more should expect a limited review of the laws of the game in their clinic.  It is important that all recertifying officials come prepared for to take the test.
